5.  Coconut oil body scrub

Use 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 cup melted coconut oil and 5 tbsp of a citrus juice (preferably fresh squeezed). Use lime or lemon juice or a combo of both. Mix together.

 

6.  DIY Toothpaste

Mix together baking soda, coconut oil and peppermint – Tip:  the baking soda will also whiten your teeth!

7.  Ears

A small amount of coconut oil on the end of a cotton tipped ear swab will keep the ear canal moist and lubricated.

8.  Fungal skin infections

Works wonders on animals. Good for ear mites as well

9.  Yeast infections (topically)

Sounds yucky, but try dripping onto a tampon and insertingWorks AMAZING apparently!

10. Lube

For the bedroom!!  🙂  Apparently, its really good and better than the other well known brand.  Unfortunately, I have not tried this one, let me know if it works!

11. Cracked nipples – Breastfeeding

Rub this on and around the nipple to heal the cracked skin

12. Weight

Increases metabolism, curbs the appetite, increases energy and burns fat. Tip 1. Have it with honey to reduce cravings! I am personally trying this at the moment, and I think the curbing of appetite does seem to work. Tip 2.  Replace other saturated fats with coconut oil, rather than using them together, since the total increase in calories could lead to weight gain.

13. Oil Pulling

I use it in my skin care regime..I add my orange and lemon oil to it..it’s amazing ..has so many uses ..a spoon in my coffee to get my daily dose..read up on oil pulling..tried it with my olive oil..but gonna start using coconut oil instead..essential oils is another great thing to use for many many health problems..can’t and WON’T do without mine..orange and lemon has completely changed the skin on my face..

    Used it on my second degree burn after it was healed over to reduce the scar. There is no evidence of where the burn was.
