Old Folk Remedy for Gout and Rheumatism
This is an old folk remedy using the buds from the poplar tree.
Preparation:
Grind the dried buds into powder (it is best to grind them in a coffee mill). Take one part of the powder and 4 parts of lubricant or unsalted fresh butter. Mix well the ingredients, put them into a container, cover the container and store it in the refrigerator. Rub the ointment on the affected areas.
Black poplar buds have a strong antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antitoxin, analgesic and soothing effect. They also improve the wound healing.
In folk medicine, the black poplar buds are used to treat rheumatism, gout, hypertension, headaches, flu, sore throats, laryngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract diseases, eczema and many others.
