Cannabis has become a popular talking point for positive rather than negative reasons for a change. It is not just a drug to get high on. It does have many medicinal benefits according to studies carried out. Sixteen studies confirm its possible use for some of the most serious cancers. There are a group of compounds called cannabinol which have been proven in many studies to reduce the growth of cancer cell.
More and more testimonies are being made by people stating that cannabis has reduced or in some cases complexly eradicated their cancer. It is more effective if eaten or taken as an oil rather than smoking it!.

1. Leukemia
Cannabinoids induced cell death in leukemia cells in a study published in the US National Library of Medicinethat was conducted by the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.
2. Oral Cancers
The US National Library of Medicine published a study that showed that cannabinoids inhibited cellular respiration and were deadly to malignant oral tumors.
3. Liver Cancer
The US National Library of Medicine also published a study showing that THC, the active compound in cannabis, reduced the viability of HHC liver carcinoma as well as slowed the growth of these types of liver cancer.
4. Pancreatic Cancer
Cannabinoid receptors in human pancreatic tumors are in higher numbers than regular pancreatic tissue. Cannabinoids induced cancer cell death in pancreatic cancer cells and reduced the growth of cancer cells, according to a study published in The American Journal of Cancer.
5. Brain Cancer
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Complutense University in Madrid and published in the British Journal of Cancer, showed that THC and other cannabinoids arrested the growth of tumors. This was the first clinical study that determined that cannabinoids had anti-tumor abilities. THC was discovered to decrease the amount of tumor cells in two out of the nine patients in this study.
6. Neurodegenerative Disease
Scientists conducted an MRI study that used THC and found that it reduced neuronal injury in rats. This study provides proof that the cannabinoid receptors can protect the brain from neurodegeneration. This study was published in The Journal of Neuroscience.
7. Breast Cancer
A study done by the California Pacific Medical Centre found that cannabidiol, or CBD, stops the proliferation and invasion of breast cancer cells and that it greatly reduced tumor mass. This study was published in the US National Library of Medicine.
8. Anti-Tumor
One study published in The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics showed that cannabinoids have strong anti-tumor compounds. This study looked at the effect of CBD on human glioma cells and an application of cannabidiol led to a dramatic drop in the viability of these types of cells. Glioma is another word for brain tumors.
