First it was smoothies, now avocado on toast is well and truly having a moment in cafes and Instagram feeds everywhere. Not only is it thoroughly photogenic, now a study published in the journal Cancer Research has shown that molecules derived from avocados have been found to target the cells of acute myeloid leukemia. Not only that avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K and B-6 along with plenty of lutein, beta-carotene and omega-3 fats.
