How does cilantro help to heal the body?
1. Helps to reduce anxiety.
2. Through long term usage – it has shown to remove mercury from our tissues. Cilantro is one of the very few herbs that can help to remove heavy metals from the body – especially mercury, aluminum and lead to name a few.
3. Our small intestines love this herb, rendering it a powerful and effective aid through its natural oils. Also, it helps the peristaltic wave move more efficiently. This helps in healthy elimination.
4. Helps with eye disorders, red eye, macular degeneration.
5. Helps our urinary tract to stave off infections.
6. Cilantro is one of the richest herbal sources for vitamin K. Vitamin K plays a role in maintaining healthy bone structure. It’s also known to help people with Alzheimer’s disease by limiting neuronal damage in the brain.
7. Cilantro is an excellent blood builder and it helps to prevent anemia.
8. The leaves and stem tips are also rich in flavonoids like, quercetin, kaempferol, rhamnetin and epigenin – which are antioxidants.
9. Cilantro, when juiced and consumed on a regular basis, can help reduce the amount of damaged fats (lipid peroxides) in the cell membranes.
10. Prevent kidney stones by eating cilantro. This herb acts as a natural diuretic.
11. Cilantro has also been shown to help with hormonal mood swings pre-menses AND is used to relax cramping during menses. Cilantro’s anti-bacterial action appears to protect against painful urinary tract infections. It acts as a natural antiseptic and anti-fungal agent for skin disorders like fungal infections and eczema. Cilantro has an affinity for the eyes. It can help to ease conjunctivitis (compress) as well as ‘age-related’ eye issues. Cilantro is known to have the ability to clear up recurring infections, both viral and bacterial especially when eaten with omega-3 enriched foods such as nuts.
12. Much has been written about Cilantro possibly being one of the very best chelation agents in nature, especially for those who have been exposed to high levels of mercury.
People dealing with excess mercury have commented that their symptoms have reduced after an extended period of regular consumption of large amounts of Cilantro. The issue of “mercury excess” may be due to an over-consumption of mercury-tainted fish or the result of mercury in metal dental fillings.
I recommend 6 cups per week of cilantro to receive its wonderful benefits. (Juiced, of course!) Always use the entire leaf and stem, as many of its nutrients are located in the stem
Recipe 1
Take a bunch of parsley or Cilantro (Coriander Leaves), wash clean; cut in small pieces & put it in a pot, pour in clean water, boil it for ten minutes; let it cool down; filter it & pour in clean bottle, keep it in refrigerator to cool. Drink one glass daily and you will notice salt & other accumulated poisons coming out of your kidney by urination. Parsley (Cilantro) is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys & it is natural!
Recipe 2.
A delicious tonic to build healthy blood rich in natural iron
The combination of the beets and apples with the cilantro triples these benefits. First, get the ingredients – listed below:
2 cups cilantro (packed)
1 inch fresh ginger root
2 limes (peeled if not organic)
2 cups spinach or parsley
1 beet with its greens
2 apples
This tonic will make approximately 1 liter – which serves 2 people.
You can juice this or blend this combination but I prefer it to be juiced, because the benefits of the greens, specifically, absorb much better when the fiber is not present.
