Salt Detox Bath Recipe

Salt Detox Bath Instructions

Dissolve Salt, epsom salt, and baking soda in boiling water in a quart size jar and set aside. Fill tub with warm/hot water and add apple cider vinegar. Pour salt mixture in and add essential oils if using.

Soak in bath for 30 minutes or as long as desired. Note that with any detox bath, you may feel tired or lightheaded when you get out. I don’t recommend doing this while home alone or before going somewhere in case you are tired or need help.

This bath is great for soothing skin irritation, boosting magnesium levels and overall detoxing.

Clay Detox Bath Recipe

Clay Detox Bath Instructions

Dissolve the epsom salts in a warm/hot bath and add essential oils if desired. For the clay there are two options:

  1. Vigorously mix the clay in to a small amount of water until the clumps are mostly dissolved. Do not use metal for this! I mix with a plastic spoon in a glass jar. Add the clay mix to the bath and soak for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Mix that clay with a small amount of water to make a paste. Stand in the tub full of water and rub the clay mix all over your body to create a skin mask and let dry for 5 minutes before sitting down. This provides direct contact with the skin and effectively pulls toxins from the skin. Soak in bath at least 20 minutes or as long as desired. While soaking, use a wash cloth to scrub any remaining clay off the skin.

This bath is great for removing a lot of toxins as the clay binds to heavy metals and the epsom salts help pull a variety of toxins from the body while replenishing magnesium levels.

  1. I agree to a certain extent, but even established western medicine uses detoxing ie think drug and alcohol therapy, except they use man-made chemicals in the process.

  2. There is no legit detoxing unless it’s from drug intoxication. Eastern or western. Remove this word from your vocabulary because it’s a false claim fad trigger

  3. The claims that say “draws out metals in your body” or “removes toxins”, I can’t believe people just believe it without questioning it

Thanks Kathrine for your opinion. I love healthy skepticism, it keeps things real!

  4. Sherri, all you need to do it take some basic science classes. But in depth is preferred. When you make claims like “removes toxins and heavy metals”you actually have to prove the claims, not I. But I guarantee you were duped and did not see any toxins or metals coming out of you. Trickery is big business, you were told such things because you paid for these treatments. You literally cannot remove metals unless you have a chunk of actual metal sticking into your skin and it’s literally cut out of you.
Monica it’s ok to do things that make you feel better but the important thing is to not misuse terms, this is how society gets misinformed.

  5. Here’s a fun article with great references to start. .. but I’d like to mention I’m a former phlebotomist, blood lab assistant, medical assistant, and current massage therapist, spawn of a chiropractic family, and my grandfather was a head scientist at MIT.
I work in the holistic field and hear people telling clients false bull$#%&!@* all the time (e.g. get the ear candle treatments they draw out your wax-not even. Get the detox foot soak with reflexology it’ll help detox you-still not even, etc)

  6. If you know anything about physiology, and microbiology I is a good start too, you’d quickly realize your body has its own processes for things. And the two things that actually detox anything are your liver and kidneys. If one of them aren’t functioning well then and only then you can become toxic and no detox program on the market will save your life your pretty much spiraling downhill at that point.
Also if you have an endocrinologist telling you about detox fads, they may be just playing the placebo physiology game with you or they’re not really a legit endocrinologist.

  7. A lot of doctors would rather just let you say dumb things like “I bought those Japanese foot pads and removed a ton of mercury from my blood” and “I bought my copper magnet bracelet and I’m so much more flexible now! ”
    because
    A. it takes time to inform you of how wrong you are and
    B. It might dampen your spirits on your quest to get healthy
    C. You’re probably a hypochondriac so nothing they say will change your mind so back to A, they have no time for that… they have a business to run and they don’t wanna be friends with you.

  8. Basically, all these things were asked to prove their claims and they can’t. It’s not up to me to prove they don’t .
basically if you want to feel good, eat clean and give your body the nutrients and activities it needs to be in good working order. You need sufficient rest, exercise, water, and NO junk food.
I won’t even claim it makes you feel better because you may always feel like crap, that’s an individual thing, but you want to give your body the best opportunity to be in the most efficient working order possible

Detoxing your body is very important to get all the toxins out. I learned this after doing the 10 day celebrity transformation. It’s an organic green cleanse that resets your metabolism and eliminates addiction to processed foods and simple sugars. You will also lose 5-20 pounds in just 10 days guaranteed. I lost 11 pounds in 10 days and kept it off. Private message me for more information.

  10. My opinion is our natural detoxification systems (liver and kidney) are overburdened with a terrible diet. That is why many of us get sick. Many of these detox diets could be beneficial because of what they eliminate. You’re no longer (over)eating bad foods, unhealthy fats, fructose-laden candy, soda and booze. All those foods, in the long term, actively conspire against the health of your liver and kidneys. Having a “detox” focus minds.- You are trying to get healthy. That is why most people feel great after a “Detox” because they have had a dose of healthy living. I don’t believe in the foot pads, but that being said, if people feel better for doing it (placebo or not) there is no harm in it.

  11. I lost 26 lbs in 6 weeks from not eating like $#%&!@* anymore. I ate carbs and proteins and didn’t pay for information on how to do it. I didn’t starve myself nor did I feel like I was on a “diet” because I’m not denting myself of anything.
I’m never hungry anymore and my nausea and heartburn disappeared

  12. I handed you facts, not opinion. Your posts are the opinions and harmful because you’re contributing to the spread of false information
