Say What "Reusable Menstrual Cups"
I have heard of menstrual cups but had no idea what they looked like and how or if they worked. I must admit, using one did not appeal to me. However, I came across an article recently, and it has piqued my interest so much that I am going share the information with my girlfriends. I think every girl and woman of menstruating age should know about this option.
The cynic in me wonders what the makers of sanitary products would do if they start to lose money? Let’s face it, this is a multi-billion dollar industry and they would not be too  happy if women decided to go for this option which only needs replacing every few years.
I just thought who this would be great for. The’ prepper’ female. Instead of stockpiling sanitary products, they would only need a few of these to last them years!.
Ladies, my question to you is “would you use it”.  Please comment.
Read on to see what it’s all about.

What is a menstrual cup?
A menstrual cup is a reusable medical grade silicone cup that is inserted into the vagina to catch the flow of blood during the menstrual cycle. Unlike tampons or pads that absorb the blood, the cup catches the blood. The cup is easy to use and easy to clean!
There is no changing or inserting something uncomfortable every 30 minutes. The menstrual cup doesn’t have to be changed every 30 minutes; you can take it out and empty it two to four times a day depending on your flow. After you take it out, wash it and then reinsert it. This new device is becoming a very popular trend among women, and they love it!
How do women like reusable menstrual cups?
Most women love the cups, because they are easier, less costly, and more comfortable. However, some women are still hesitant about using the cup because, I mean really, who would think to insert a cup into their vagina to catch the blood? All in all the menstrual cup is a great idea; it cuts down on waste, it’s comfortable, it allows you to do all your activities without leakage, you change/empty it less often, and some even have pretty colors! Why isn’t every woman using the DivaCup?!
Menstrual cups vs. other menstruation solutions
There are six reasons you should switch to the menstrual cup:
1. Longer lasting coverage: you can go all day without even thinking about it. Not worrying about whether you have a tampon on you when you go to the bathroom is a pain.
2. Total security: the most annoying thing, when a woman is on her period, are those leaks. When using the cup you don’t have to worry about leaks, because when you insert the cup it creates a suction that leaves virtually no space for leaks.
3. Safer choice: these cups are made from medical grade silicone, not cotton. You don’t have to worry about dryness or getting toxic shock syndrome.
4. Saves money: when using tampons and pads you have to go to the store every month and buy a box or two. When you use the cup, you only need one. So you save time and money.
5. All day freshness: since the cup is inside the body, you don’t have to worry about not feeling fresh. Since it’s on the inside, you don’t have to worry about getting it on the outside.
6. Earth friendly: using the cups are better for the environment too. Using the cups cuts back on the use of tampons and pads being flushed and ending up in landfills across the world.
