The Environmental Working Group  (EWG) recommends that you eat organically grown local produce. The EWG has for the past nine years published a shoppers’ guide to pesticides in produce that lists pesticide contamination of almost 50 popular fruits and vegetables. Apples, for instance, has 47 different kinds of pesticides to ward of insects and protect from mold. What are these pesticides doing to our bodies?  See below Top 10 Foods YOU must try to eat organic. If it is not always possible try this tip for washing your fruit and vegetables. Put a few capfuls of apple cider vinegar in a bowl and wash your produce. You can rinse off so that they do not taste of vinegar.
